The hospital has been providing compassionate quality health care to residents and visitors of western Nevada County since 1958. Responsibilities

The Quality Patient Safety Program Manager is responsible for:
Directing programs involving risk mitigation/management and initiatives related to providing safer care to patients. This position is responsible for providing information to various key stakeholders on the progress and status of described programs/initiatives.
Overseeing the implementation of compliance policies and procedures to ensure that they meet organizations compliance requirements. Has management responsibility and accountability for the hospitals overall compliance with regulations from The Joint Commission Department of Health Services CMS and other regulatory agencies.
Overseeing the events reporting process root cause analysis and event investigation/review.
Participates in system office initiatives and programs to mitigate risks identified at other hospitals resulting in reduced costs and adverse patient outcomes.
Receives and oversees responses to patient complaints and investigates to solve issues promptly.
Acts as an intermediary between patients staff and family to provide clear communication between all parties regarding any outstanding issues

Qualifications
Candidates can be a healthcare clinician however this position does NOT require a clinical license
One-year (1) healthcare-related quality management/performance improvement experience (e.g. chart audits, PI team member, etc.) and three (3) years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Bachelors degree OR at least five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree
If candidate is licensed, license must be in the state of California.
Must also have one of these certifications OR obtain within 2 years of employment in this role:
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality)
HCQM (Healthcare Certified Quality and Management)
CPQPS (Certified Professional Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety)
Preferred candidates will have significant experience with Patient Safety Initiatives
Pay Range
$49.20 - $71.34 /hour
