We are recruiting for an Assistant Production Manager that will oversee the day-to-day operation of the DIP and pulp machine. The Assistant Production Manager coordinates the activities of all departments to meet production needs. This position will report to the Production Manager.
The Assistant Production Manager will:
Be actively involved in and accountable for the overall success of our safety culture. Participants in Two on One Safety and Environmental Discussions, Near Miss Reporting, and Pre-job Risk Analysis.Ensures planned production levels, safety, quality, efficiency, and budget objectives are met.Investigates and analyzes problems pertaining to production delays and quality discrepancies.Schedules and plans maintenance outages throughout the year.Promotes continuous improvement.Provides leadership and direction to all production crews.Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma (or GED) and a two year technical or associate degree is required. Preference is given to those with a bachelor's degree. Candidates should also have a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
Candidates should also possess strong organizational (both written and oral) and multi-tasking skills, sound technical skills, analytical ability, strong operational focus, extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations, processes and procedures and proficient in Microsoft Computer Programs (word, excel, email).
