  QUALITY MANAGER (PLANT)PINE GROVE, PA

  Job Description:

  The Quality Manager is responsible to develop and maintain strategic initiatives and deploy the required quality systems to ensure key objectives are met. The position further supports the operation's strategic plan by aligning quality resources to ensure customer order requirements, product quality standards, and product delivery commitments are upheld. Responsible for maintaining and implementing the established quality assurance program. Drive continuous improvement and lead change within the quality organization and the plants operating system.

  Job Duties:

  Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively support the safety goals.Maintain oversight of operational goals for the quality department and manufacturing processes to meet company objectives consistent with established safety, quality and productivity standards.Ability to effectively lead the quality team and advise management of product conformance, capability issues, and provide fact -based recommendations for improvement and problem resolution.Initiate, develop, and implement a quality excellence mindset for the plant site, creating cultural initiatives and improvements.Serve as a member of the management team and be responsible to make decisions or handle special functions related to overall company quality operations; participate in daily production meetings with the leadership team members.Provide contributions, leadership and training to support the quality-oriented programs including Continuous Improvement (CI) and Total Quality Management (TQM) programs to incorporate root cause corrective actions and mistake-proofing.Manage and drive the team in delivering right and fast quality control solutions for the plant while maintaining integrity and compliance.Lead and validate key quality functions for the plant operations. Ensure the validation plans, execution strategies, projects and acceptance criteria are based on established regulatory standards.Oversee complaint investigations, internal quality concerns, internal audits and representing the plant on all customer audits.Manages and oversees all quality system certification processes to meet corporate compliance.Responsible to be a site management representative for quality system management systems.Oversee and lead the QC Lab including coaching and developing the lab supervisor and technicians.Responsible for tracking/trending of critical quality KPI's on a monthly and quarterly basis to support local reporting requirements.Provide guidance to the quality control activities of the plant.Grow and develop team's knowledge and skills through coaching and guidance.Provide mentoring and training to the required personnel as needed.Perform other tasks as required by management.

  Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  MS or BS Chemical Engineering or related Science/Technical degree preferred.Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Quality Leader/Manager with expertise in ISO and/or TS regulations preferred. (ISO 9001/13485 and/or TS 16949)Ideal industry background includes fibers, resins, textiles, medical devices or composites.Must ave a strong hands on knowledge of quality tools and techniques, e.g.: Problem description, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, Control Plans & Charts, 5S, Green Belt certification and/or auditor certification is a strong preference.Requires expert skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, SAP, Lean/Six Sigma tools.
