Objectives:
Review product records and/or conduct inspections to release materials for use in manufacturing or release finished goods to inventory in a medical device regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Sample and inspect incoming material according to established procedures. Ensure quality of material via precise review and interpretation of material component specifications and drawings. Ensure material inspection plan completions per QA Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain timely flow of material inspections in accordance with production workflow forecast requirements.
Organize and maintain QA release and receiving inspection records / files for archiving.
Communicate component issues in a timely manner to appropriate personnel. Prepare and complete component record processing for final component / material release.
Perform incoming material investigations or research as requested. Communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience in Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T).
Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Quality Assurance experience in a medical device/ pharmaceutical manufacturer – 2-year experience.
Be able to read and understand company policies and procedures, experience in Word, Excel, Outlook.
Technical Degree (2-year Associate) in scientific or medical field, Prior inspection of molding components.
Possess basic knowledge and skills necessary to operate measurement precision equipment such as the Smartscope, Comparator, and Instron devices, as well as handheld measuring tools.
