　　JOB SUMMARY

　　Efficiently assess incoming products at their assigned stage of production. This can occur when unpacking shipments from vendors, sorting products in assembly or preparing finished products for out shipments. Ensure quality, regulatory and manufacturing requirements are consistently met. Identify and segregate non-conforming items from the production line and reporting them to management.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

　　Conducts designated visual inspections and dimensional checks on fabricated and manufactured parts

　　Read blueprints, schematics and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards

　　Recommending any necessary changes to production processes based on inspection findings.

　　Remove products that do not meet production standards and recommend improving product quality

　　Maintains required records and prepares all paperwork relating to inspection

　　Ability to use measuring devices and equipment

　　Perform incoming, in-process and Final inspections to verify conformity of product

　　Accept or reject finished production line work through work instruction and standards

　　Maintain a clean and safe work area.

　　Ensure tools are calibrated and maintained.

　　JOB QUALIFICATIONS

　　3 years experience in inspection, preferably in a metal, working and manufacturing environment

　　High school diploma; some college or post-secondary certificate preferred

　　Detail oriented and meticulous

　　Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance

　　Proficient in measurement tool usage (tape measure, micrometer, caliper, etc.)

　　Good communication skills, both verbal and written

　　Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, E-mail).

　　Ability to work well with others,

　　Ability to work with little supervision

　　WORK ENVIRONMENT

　　Work in a manufacturing environment.

　　Work with sheet metal, coils and other parts requiring use of hand tools.

　　Work with other employees, vendors, and client requests.
