Quality Engineering Specialist - Dallas, Texas

Description:
The Quality Specialist will be responsible for non-conformance/CAR, change control, document management, and process flow charts/process mapping. He/she will provide support supplier management, investigations, auditing, and management reviews. Additionally, he or she will be responsible for document management activities including initiation of Document Change Notices (DCNs), maintenance of documents, monitoring progress of documents through the creation/revision process, and routinely review and circulate documents to ensure compliance with current practices. Some other duties assigned will include internal audits, preparation for and assistance during external audits, and supplier management issues
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support or lead all relevant quality activities associated with manufacturing processes, procedures, and inspection requirements
• Participate in internal audits as well as support and participate in third party and customer audits as required
• Follow up on post-audit activities, including reports and corrective actions
• Support Quality improvement activities by participating on teams, collecting and analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring quality and process related documentation are updated
• Create, maintain, and use electronic data systems (Access, XA, etc) to ensure accurate data
• Support or lead tracking of in-process product issues and performance metrics as required for trend analysis and driving continuous improvement
• Support the calibration process
• Facilitates internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures
• Support the corrective action process on internal and external opportunities
•Using blueprints, engineering drawings, and other specification documents to assure product conformance and maintains required documentation and records.
•Auditing of systems and hardware for compliance and quality procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
•Associates degree or ABOVE preferred
•7+ years of direct Quality experience
•Strong analytical computer skills
•Proficient use of standard measuring devices
•Knowledge of procedures, techniques, specifications, engineering drawings, manufacturing environment
•ISO Quality Management System Experience
•GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing) and ASQ experience
•Knowledge of Military specs
Electrical and mechanical testing and measurements for customer specific documentation
