Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aQuality Engineering Intern (Summer 2024)to join theElectrical Wiring Systems Pass & Seymour Teamin Concord, NC. The Summer 2024 Quality Engineering Intern will work with the quality and engineering team and gain experience/knowledge with Quality processes. They will work in an office/manufacturing environment where steel toe boots will be required.
What Will You Do?
Data collection/aggregation/visualization for business reporting.
Process improvement: Process mapping, Defect Analysis, Standard operating procedure documentation.
Support New Product Development and Introduction: Measurement of product, Testing of product, FMEA development, Process control planning.
Root Cause Investigation: Both manual investigation and data analysis to support problem solving of internal and external quality issues.
Meet critical deadlines.
Interact with managers, staff, and floor workers.
Qualifications
Education
Junior or Senior in an accredited bachelor’s program in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Related course work.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Must have good mechanical skills.
Able to read manufacturing prints /GDT.
Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to efficiently summarize information in an effective manner.
Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively. Familiarity with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is desirable. Familiarity with automated reporting tools such as Power BI to extract and visualize data.
Compensation Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / per hour
