About this role: The Electrophysiology (EP) Design Quality Assurance team is looking for an engineer to evaluatemanufacturingand design changes. EP has a broad portfolio of capital equipment used in the field to support ablation and diagnostic procedures. The EP Design Quality assurance team is growing, and the timely evaluation of design changes is key to maintaining a robust EP Capital Equipment portfolio to reduce potential safety and quality issues. This role provides visibility across the Research and Design organization. The selected candidate will collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Complaints, Regulatory, and Field Servicing engineering.This is a significant role for an entry-level engineer with opportunities to grow into Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, Risk, or Electrical Design. The selected candidate will be mentored by a Senior Electrical Engineer. Your responsibilities will include: Interface with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Marketing, and Manufacturing functions in a project team environment Continually seek to drive product improvement Implement, maintain, and update procedures that ensure that R&D documentation constantly meets Boston Scientific's Product Development Process and Design Control requirements Provide the quality review at defined design reviews, project design plans, risk management, design verification/validation protocols, and reports, for new development projects and design/process changes to existing product lines Summarize, analyze, draw conclusions, and make appropriate decisions from test results or other process-related findings Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements Coachothers in analysis of electrical design Provide design guidance related to sustaining engineering projects Test development -evaluate design reliability Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Ability to fulfill work responsibilities onsite Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology Knowledge of Circuit Simulation application Strong understanding of FET technology and design Hands-on experience with electronics Understanding of highly technical engineering topics Able to troubleshoot and identify electrical component failures Ability to independently manage/drive project work to defined delivery dates Requisition ID:576378 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
