Objective of Position:
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Quality Control team and review of the Loan portfolio of Byline Bank. This includes the review of loan bookings, maintenance of the loan system, loan transactions, and the accuracy of data on the system for new, modified, and renewed loans. This role will also ensure all new deposit accounts and all critical changes to existing accounts are reviewed and documented per procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports Director in the implementation of a secondary Quality Control process within Loan Operations.
Works with Director to implement changes for any issues discovered during the Quality Control process.
Supports the drafting, modifying, and implementing department policies and procedures.
Designs and conducts training for the Quality Control staff as well as other departments within Loan Operations to ensure understanding of all policies and procedures.
Develops, reports, and supports department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Reviews exceptions, internal controls, operational deficiencies, and other recommendations with Byline leadership.
Manages and assists with the daily review of documentation and system entries associated with newly sold participations, newly booked loans, or daily execution of maintenance requests to ensure compliance with legal documents, customer and line of business requests, and departmental/regulatory policies.
Oversees the research on complicated transactions and process applicable corrections based on the Quality Control reports or internal customer complaints.
Identifies root cause of discrepancies, track trends and recurring issues and recommend corrective training to the Supervisors or Team Leads in the impacted departments.
Leads the audit inquiries by providing information as needed for internal/external auditors as well as regulatory inspectors to test the Department’s adherence to policies and procedures.
Reviews and validates loan data as entered onto the loan accounting system against credit approval documents & loan documents to ensure accuracy in the boarding process with primary focus on complex transactions prepared by Attorneys, including Syndications and Participation loans during peak time.
Oversees the validation and maintenance of all deposit accounts.
Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
Oversees the review of Debit Card, ATM Card, Stop Payment process, Savings Bonds Redeemed transactions, and Personal Online Banking Maintenance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree, preferred.
5+ years in loan credit analysis within a financial institution.
5+ years of management experience, preferred.
5+ years of experience in quality Control, Commercial Loan Booking & Funding or Loan Processing preferred.
Experience with government guaranteed lending products: SBA 7(a), SBA 504, USDA B&I Loan Programs.
Knowledge of the SBA SOP and documents required for loan transactions.

Knowledge of Regulations including BSA, USA PATRIOT, REG CC, REG D, REG E, and CIP.

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

The salary range for this position is $84,100 to $105,200.
