The Opportunity:
Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated QC Laboratory Supervisor to optimize our Quality Control Laboratory organization.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Phillipsburg, NJ.

What we're looking for:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
Required Experience:
2 years GMP or pharmaceutical laboratory experience
1 year supervisory experience
1 year collaboration tool (IE: MS Office, 365) experience
1-year HPLC, GC, ICP, FTIR and wet chemistry experience is preferred
Supervisory experience within a union environment is preferred
How you will thrive and create an impact:
Supervise the quality control team by assessing their skills and abilities and following work progress; forecast/ investigate delays and coach as appropriate
Provide cross functional updates.
Provide on the floor and technical support to quality control team
Support and enforce the quality system, regulatory policies and work instructions.
Arrange for equipment, materials and supplies to be available for work projects.
Monitor maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Embody a culture of inclusiveness.
Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation/ equipment to determine cause and arrange for repair/ maintenance.
Supervise team training/ cross training.
Supervise Chemists to include test methods, analytical techniques, GLP, GDP, GMP and work schedules.
Review and approve controlled quality control documents.
Ensure department documents and procedures are up to date and reflect current SOPs.
Perform laboratory investigations for out of specification results, safety related incidents and/or processes.
Partner with customers, regulatory agents and vendors during audits and site visits.
Enforce prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
