Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. Here is your chance to join the Crown Food Division.LOCATION:Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The plant manufactures 3-piece steel cans for the food industry over 3 shifts. A new 2-piece food can line is being added to this facility and will be operational in 2021. This new line will position the Hanover plant with the ability to serve our customers with a diverse mix of packaging products. With this new line, the Hanover plant will employee over 70 team members. The Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, York PA and the Maryland border.Position Overview:The Quality Assurance Technicianis responsible for working with the operations and quality teams to ensure adherence to quality specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing process.Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor, the QA Technician's responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following;Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process at proscribed intervalsIdentify non-conforming product and react accordingly to quality systems or plan requirementsRetain out-of-spec products per quality plansCommunicate effectively, quality data to team members or appropriate contacts; including but not limited to, QA team, Manufacturing Supervisor, Superintendent, etc.Understand quality data and charts recorded by quality systemsAnalyze and interpret trends and conditions as recorded by quality systemsHelp identify root cause(s) for non-conforming productApply statistical problem-solving techniquesProvide feedback to team membersWork with operations and quality to manage sorting or push on product on the shiftManage shift chargebacksRecord all information for food safety investigationsProvide knowledge of upper and lower control limitsBe familiar with SOPs to help sustain compliance and offer process improvement suggestionsParticipate in Good Manufacturing Procedure (GMP) audits and support site GMP complianceMaintain work area in clean and orderly conditionOther responsibilities and tasks as assignedCURRENT OPENING IS 4x4 schedule, 5p-5a.
Job Requirements
