Reference #: 5001015530806Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Hanover, PA. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position will be responsible for supervising QA laboratory technicians and overseeing quality programs throughout the facility. The individual will support the QA Manager in all aspects of safety, quality, SQF certification, governmental requirements and continuous improvement programs within the operation.

　　Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of laboratory experience. Candidates must possess knowledge of snack food operations; PCQI certification is strongly preferred.  Critical thinking and leadership skills are essential in this role.QA Supervisor:Able to perform all the essential functions of a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician.Sets up, calibrates and maintains existing and new testing equipment in the lab.Leads manufactured and purchased product testing including documentation and reporting of all inbound items.Reviews and approves daily QA data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.Identifies areas for quality improvement and leads team to achieve desired targets.Trains and schedules all QA technicians and maintains a prospective talent pool.Assists in maintaining compliance with FDA and other governing bodies (city/ state/ health department).Works with department managers on continuous improvement programs.Serves as back-up SQF Practitioner for the facility.Support food safety training.Participate in internal audits and compliance activities for SQF.Verification and audits of ongoing policies, SOP's and food safety/ SQF compliance.Responsible for ensuring food safety in all actions and responsibilities:Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF SystemFollows instructions and training for reporting of food safety problems to appropriate personnelEnsures coverage across all shifts, and replacement during absencesWorks with management and fellow associates to ensure Food Safety programs are followed.Reports food, office or operational safety problems to a supervisor or manager for initiating action.Position will work one weekend a month.Spreading Joy Through Food!Here at Utz, we have a passion for food that our associates enjoy creating, our consumers love, and our customers choose.  Our renowned family of brands includes Utz, Golden Flake, Good Health, TGI Friday's, On the Border, Bachman, and Zapp's.  We provide a supportive, caring and inclusive environment that offers opportunities for career growth and advancement.
