GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

　　Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, this position is responsible for safely and accurately performing all color application testing in the standardization part of the quality assurance lab at the Bushy Park pigments plant. Testing includes the assessment of work in process, pre-formulations, and finished goods pigments to established specifications.

　　Must efficiently perform all duties with some direct supervision.

　　SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

　　The specific responsibilities of the QAL Lab Technician II, while not limited to include:

　　Have full knowledge of safe operating procedures and a practical working knowledge of laboratory practices in the functional area.

　　Performs procedures and documentation required by the Quality Management System.

　　Perform tests as specified in Control Manual and QC Records.

　　Record and report results.

　　Provide direction on adjustments to processes as indicated by test results.

　　Perform calibration duties on instruments as required and report on results.

　　Perform Safety inspections as required by site policies and directives.

　　Perform other duties such as department representatives on 5S, Six Sigma, or other teams as necessary.

　　Performs other related duties as assigned.

　　Will work directly with leaders and teams in Production, Technology, all Plant Technical, Warehouse.

　　QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

　　Associate's degree in science, two years of college-level chemistry, or equivalent experience is required.

　　Minimum of two years of Lab experience is required.
