Responsibilities for this PositionGeneral Dynamics Mission Systems seeks a self-motivated, organized, and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team. A successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor at our Canonsburg, PA Facility. Candidates will be working in a fast paced and attention detailed environment. Work is performed to validate conformance of material to be used for production or direct delivery to customers. Most work activities shall be performed within a normal 40-hour work week, but candidates may have occasional overtime.This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms inspections of mechanical, cable, circuit card and complex electro-mechanical assemblies against company controlled technical drawings/schematics and other specifications to ensure conformance.Initiates nonconformance reports for material identified to be out of specifications.Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials.Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections to details assembly drawings and/or detail inspection procedures.Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections to details assembly drawings and/or detail inspection procedures.Documents all inspection results by completing reports into quality database.Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to inspect complex electro-mechanical assemblies, custom cables, and fabricated metalworkAbility to interpret and follow technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructionsWorking knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office suite of business software; MS Word, ExcelStrong attention to detailStrong organizational, communication and writing skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift 40 lbs.Workplace Options100% Facility in Canonsburg, PA
