This is a hybrid position.Job SummaryThe Utilization Review Senior Technician is responsible for contacting insurance with notice of admission, communicating authorization information to UR nurse, and communicating final authorization/approval to the hospital billing office. Additional duties include answering the UR main phone line, processing incoming faxes in a timely manner, data entry, managing 3M reports and work lists, and various other duties as needed. This is a hybrid position. Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.), extensive working knowledge of electronic health records, exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, strong written and verbal communication, a sense of urgency, and effective problem-solving skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
