　　Analytical management

　　Update all required analytical requests from different parties on site

　　Determine the technical requirements of the required hardware & chemical requirements (e.g., specifying equipment selection, provide input for vendor selection, etc.)

　　Create SOPs (standard operating procedure) for the different analyses and assist with setting up the training

　　Keep up to date with the latest developments in the analytical landscape, therefore a broad analytical interest is required (e.g., GC, HPLC, MS techniques, different spectroscopic techniques, titration, etc.)

　　Practical support on site (BIG/Zhanjiang) during the different start-up phases to assist in starting up the equipment, ensuring correct validation of each analyzer and keeping all required records up to date

　　Translate the different analytical requests of the production clusters during production into workable analytical procedures inside the lab, where needed, guide local research and validation of such methods.

　　Familiar with relevant software in place to support Quality Control and Quality Assurance, e.g., SAP QM, LIMS, vendor-specific software for lab equipment (e.g., QUANTOS and similar), Document mgmt. software (Documentum or similar)

　　Align with EM laboratories at other BASF sites in China and elsewhere on updates and developments regarding analytical methods, equipment, and SOPs.

　　Quality management

　　Ensure that all analytical methods adhere to the required standards and track any updates of the methods in close cooperation with quality management of the production clusters.

　　Assist in setting up the quality management system for the Central Lab and translating the site’s requirements into NIS requirements and specifications.

　　Support the analysis of any non-conformities or quality incidents of the Central Lab

　　Support required internal and external audits, e.g., ISO audit, coordinate and participate in preparation of documents for safety, environmental protection (ISO 14001) and quality control (ISO 9001) audits.

　　Provide input on the setup of the required IT processes regarding material release and certificates of analyses.

　　Coordinate with BIG central lab for NIS plant routine work arrangement.

　　Support meta-data analysis and similar techniques to track and improve quality standards within the NIS cluster

　　EHS

　　Comply to EHS requirements and quality requirements.

　　Follow 5S guideline and maintain good housekeeping in QC lab. As the owner, be responsible for EHS management for COB Lab Area.

　　Others

　　Report any areas of concern to Management.

　　Responsible for the effective implementation of the Quality Management System.

　　Other tasks arranged by line manager.

　　Education: bachelor’s degree or above in chemical engineering or relative major, master’s degree is a plus

　　Working experience: 5+ years working experience in chemical plant lab, 3+ years plays as QC leader

　　Language Skill: English can be used as working language.

　　Technical & Professional Knowledge

　　 Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001and 5S requirements.

　　 Able to use Microsoft Applications and other statistical tools.

　　 Able to organize, coordinate, implement and supervise a given task in systematic manner.

　　 Able to maintain and improve subordinate analysis or testing skills through continue cross check and re-training program.

　　 Deep understanding of typical QC lab equipment (chromatography, wet chemistry, and spectroscopy).
