QA/QC Technician _ Ames, IA

　　Pay Rate: $22 - $24/hr depending on experience

　　Shift: Mon - Thurs 6 am to 4:30 pm

　　PPE: Steel toed shoes (hard hat, safety glasses and gloves will be provided), long pants required

　　This position will work primarily in a physical wet chemistry lab for our seed treatment and crop protection production facility. This position would be responsible for:

　　Inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods using established test methods

　　Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment

　　Effective communication of batch results to the appropriate personnel

　　Reporting of non-conformances related to quality.

　　Generation and maintenance of records related to product quality.

　　Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

　　Laboratory testing to support Quality Analyst on day-to-day projects.

　　Secondary support maybe needed to assist in our microbiology lab at times as well. The additional duties may include:

　　Preparation of media for use in both laboratories

　　Microbial Testing and Plate Reading

　　Assist in plant swabbing program.

　　Autoclaving of glassware and solutions

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Ability to distinguish colors.

　　High attention to detail

　　Strong team player

　　High School Diploma or GED

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　SAP or other manufacturing software experience preferred.

　　Previous Quality Control experience preferred.

　　Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry OR Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year of experience
