  Reference #: 2844Pursuit/Capture LeaderWe are looking for a dynamic leader to join our team!  You are a Team Leader who loves to win by qualifying opportunities and developing winning strategies that benefit the customers and our company.  You are energized by facilitating the pursuit of large and complex business deals while coaching your pursuit team members (e.g sales, sales engineering, etc) as they develop relationships at key buying influences including the "C Suite" level.  As the Pursuit/Capture Leader for Black Box you willLead the delivery and evangelization of pursuit excellence, including the methodologies used to ensure quality customer engagementBring the best thinking and align resources to improve win rates and ultimately win profitable business for Black BoxDrive the team and processes employed to identifythe business issues of our customer,how Black Box can uniquely solve the issuesthe value of the Black Box solutionWebsite: www.blackbox.comLocation: RemoteRESPONSIBILITIESStrategy Leadership:Qualify the opportunity in terms of the Black Box objectives, capabilities, resources and current position in the overall competitive landscape.Make recommendations whether to pursue or decline the opportunity or pursuitConsult with key stakeholders to build an effective team which can meet the potential customer's objectives.Lead the pursuit strategy to properly position Black Box to differentiate us from the competitors.Monitor competitor activity and conduct competitive assessmentsConsults with key stakeholders to create an effective client engagement.Facilitate, lead and coach oral preparations by developing orals strategy and coaching on presentation skillsConsult with key stakeholders and devise key messages and win themes which illustrate the strengths and benefits the team/firm brings to bear to address the client's needs.Drive the momentum of the pursuit and lead all members of the pursuit team to make certain that duties are shared appropriately and enthusiasm and motivation remain high.Drive realistic expectations, but cultivate a 'meet and exceed' environment.Supervise other Pursuit LeadersPursuit Deliverable Management:Develop the capture strategy and identify actions that need to be taken to implement the capture strategy and planCoordinate and lead strategy meetings/workshops and other meetings between team members on an on-going basis.Review proposal development, timeline and procedures established on an on-going basis to monitor progress and ensure win theme and strategy are integrated.Serve as a value proposition leader and help evaluate business issues and responses required to meet potential customers' needs.Lead internal stakeholder management and keep the senior leadership teams informed and engaged including timely escalation of issues needing resolutionAssist in the analysis and development of the financial/commercials of the deal, including cash flow, P&L, margin profiles and value proposition to the customerAssist in developing the closing and negotiation strategy with the sales team.Broad-based experience in marketing and/or sales/management,A detailed understanding of business issues and how they impact a company's ability to grow profitably in their market space.Mastery of key elements of the pursuit processExpert communication and influence skills.  This will be key to your Team Leadership successProven effective in working across organizational boundaries (e.g. corporate divisions and/or multi-nationally based divisions)Strong demonstrable leadership experience, in particular in large complex matrixed organizationsStrong Relationship management experience at C-Suite levelAbility to interface with Black Box leadership and speak truth to powerAbility to manage a "war room" and balance efforts between strategic initiatives and tactical activities.Skilled in conflict and change managementDue to the nature of the work, tight deadlines, etc. flexibility is requiredExperience & Education:University/Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum 3 years of complex and large sales experienceShipley / APMP training and/or certification in proposal writing, capture, or business development is desirable#LI-JM1  #LI-REMOTEWhat's in it for You?
