The Purchasing Manager will oversee the purchasing department and proactively analyze data, forecast material requirements, and develop solutions to keep costs down without compromising quality. Required education and experience
3 years' experience managing a purchasing department
Understand and experience with electrical components
Preferred education and experience
Experience with Epicor system
Completion of an APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification program
Experience with importing products, ocean freight, and import carriers
salary: $54 - $70 per hour

Responsibilities
Directly supervises between two and ten employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Provides guidance and direction to subordinate administrative personnel to assist them in their personal and professional development.
Computer proficiency and efficiency with programs including, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and MRP software and other online applications as necessary.
Solid understanding of and experience with purchasing operations, generating purchase orders, supplier communications, shipping and logistics, inventory and order decisions, and item master list.
Exceptional materials forecasting, market analysis, and negotiation skills.
Skilled in creating reports and extracting and analyzing the data to help management make decisions and achieve objectives.
Superior negotiation skills and attention to trends in the market.
strong ability to analyze data and communicate with other internal department to identify patterns and create solutions.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve problems timely.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizedsituations.
