The procurement specialist is a buyer for / electronic component/miscellaneous items buyer is an entry to mid-Level position. Buyers contact and purchase the necessary components to ensure a high quality, efficient and timely build for customer projects. while using inventory tracking and ERP software to ensure a consisted database is maintained.
Responsibilities
Materials management, planning and procurementProcure, plan, expedite and control purchase cycle for electronic componentsEffectively conduct communications with all outside vendors, both foreign and domesticMonitor vendor performanceAbility to make procurement decisions and vendor selection for all company materials used to manufacture electronic components, as well as office supplies.Manage timely resolution of quality issues regarding purchased items.Ability to exercise independent decision makingMinimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferredMust be experienced using Microsoft office suites.Must be experienced with ERP software.
