Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchasing Assistant position. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required for this Purchasing Assistant position. The Purchasing Assistant will ideally have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. 　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Help with any additional duties of the purchasing department

　　Ensure that all orders are complete and have all the necessary information

　　Data entry duties for daily purchase orders

　　Ensure all departments have appropriate inventory levels

　　Examine and contrast goods, suppliers, and services

　　Provides exceptional customer service when working with vendors and suppliers Requirements

　　Prior experience as a purchasing assistant or in a similar position

　　Strong research and analytical skills

　　Excellent communication and negotiation skills

　　Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs

　　High school diploma or GED required

　　Excellent organization and documentation skills
