Title:PSM Coordinator, 1st Shift Req ID: 4074 City, State:Wells, MN Reports to:Maintenance Manager Classification:Nonexempt Remote:No Relocation: Nationwide relocation assistance is available #LI-Onsite Summary: The Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the process safety management compliance efforts, per all required government/applicable regulations and company philosophy on team member safety. Essential Functions: Ensures PSM compliance by serving as the primary resource for the implementation and enforcement of all PSM program components, to include tracking and reporting all PSM metrics that document our compliance with the program, review, update and communicate plant procedures that comply and align with applicable regulations (e.g OSHA, EPA reports) and maintain all plant PSM records/reports. Educates and updates team members by developing, coordinating, and facilitating all required PSM trainings and manuals to cover the 14 PSM elementals and corporate and/or plant-specific procedures; educates key managers, supervisors, and hourly personnel on their roles in PSM and RMP compliance. Creates SOPs and P & ID (Piping and Instrumentation diagrams) for new construction projects, and make modifications to those that are found to be incorrect. Develop and contribute to PSM incidental manual and RMPs for the Wells facility. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or related field OR a minimum of three years hands-on experience in Safety or PSM. Thorough knowledge of OSHA, PSM and EPA requirements Professional verbal, written and facilitation skills; comfortable creating and delivering training materials. Ability to work with people at all levels; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Models composure and decision-making in stressful situations. Organized to work within deadlines; attention to detail, problem-solve under pressure and handle emerging requirements with accuracy. Competent in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications: Experience in food manufacturing facilities (esp. poultry) Regulatory compliance knowledge, including USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety (SQF) Experience in SAP Knowledge of general First Aid and CPR Supervisory Responsibility: Must supervise completion of tasks required to maintain PSM compliance. May supervise maintenance/ utilities department as needed. Work Environment: The work environment is a mix of office, production floor and utility areas (including the roof). Temperatures range from normal to cold. Normal office noise to louder noise levels in utility areas. Slippery floors and cool temperatures are present while in production. Must wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required. Position Type: This is a full-time salaried exempt position. Expected hours are first shift with additional time required training during 2nd or 3rd shifts as needed. Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
