The Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) team is searching for an Investigations Senior Manager for its Prototype Security team who is able to develop, implement and lead security projects and programs to support Amazon's prototype device teams. This position will provide security investigation support to all Amazon consumer electronic devices prior to release to the general public and will manage the Prototype Security Investigations team as well as the overall prototype investigations posture for the Amazon Devices & Services Organization. The Amazon Devices Organization designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the best-selling Kindle family of products as well as devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Astro, and Amazon Echo.This role will have a global reach and focus to ensure consistent prototype security investigations are provided and executed to all prototypes reported as lost or misplaced. In this position, the Prototype Security Investigations Senior Manager will have regular engagement with all product lines of business to create and foster an engagement model to ensure security has a seat at the table with all Amazon Devices & Services Organization product lines. To be successful in this position, the Prototype Security Investigations Senior Manager must have the ability to understand the Amazon prototype development process and build strong relationships with key business teams, develop and innovate strategic and scalable solutions to enable automation of manual data entry processes, and have a solid understanding of data collection methods and metrics analysis to leverage data collected to inform programmatic needs and policy direction.This position will report to the Amazon Corporate Security, Head of Prototype Security.Key job responsibilities* Serve as the primary security point of contact and point of escalation for all prototype investigations worldwide* Provide direction and support to the Intellectual Property (IP) Protection program for the larger Prototype Security team* Use significant expertise and high judgment to design the right team structure and mechanisms to meet long-term business goals.* Able to distill diverse inputs from large customer segments and stakeholders to drive the organizational vision, design a strategy, and achieve consensus on priorities.* Conduct and/or support investigations into device losses, unauthorized disclosures, and security breaches* Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessments as it relates to root cause errors or processes identified in lost device investigations.* Provide detailed input in the development of security education materials to include online training modules, and be willing to deploy and conduct in-person/virtual training sessions, employee outreach events, educational posters and handout material* Actively evaluate, analyze, and use metrics collected to inform investigations as well as Prototype Security programmatic needs and policy decisions*Create long-term mechanisms to inspect results.* Development, drafting and publication of policies and standards related to global prototype security program* Build out the hiring and strategic implementation of leak investigation and data gathering functions in support of the larger Prototype Investigations function* Support further development of the Prototype Security program.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Austin, TX, USA | Seattle, WA, USA | Sunnyvale, CA, USA- 5+ years of experience in conducting security related investigations- Ability to work in an in-office environment on a regular and reoccurring basis- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 10-20% of time)- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification- Investigations related professional certification- Demonstrated maturity, ju
