Your Role: What you'll be doingResponsibilities include:Support the development of propulsion sub-system and component designsEnsure all designs satisfy overall launch vehicle and sub-system requirementsStrong background and experience with mechanical and fluid system designs.Knowledge of dynamic, structural, and fluids analysis conceptsAbility to perform system integration and system-level trade studies tooptimize designs for manufacturing, producibility, and performance.Developing and testing propulsion system components (e.g. solenoid andpneumatically actuated valves, pressure regulators, disconnects) forboth internally designed and subcontracted hardwareWorking test anomalies to identify the root cause that leads to effectiveresolution and corrective actions that prevent a recurrence.Review the as-built product (hardware and associated software) and producttest data to certify that the final product configuration and performance meetrequirements and are ready for test and/or flight.Develops design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improveperformance and/or reliability

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field from anaccredited university is requiredAbility to lead a small team of propulsion design engineersSupport resolution of technical issues efficiently and thoroughly to supportprogram milestonesStrong familiarity with fluid system design, component designs andintegrated pneumatic and cryogenic systemsExperienced professional contributor with prior responsibility for an advancedarea of work.Work experience on projects in which integration between different engineeringdisciplines and functions (e.g. structural, electrical, test,analysis, production, and launch operations)Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem-solving skills todeal creatively with complex situationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex problemsSchedule development and managementAbility to communicate and present complex, technical information

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)$125,750 - $196,522
