BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 5 monthsJob Type: Full-Time, ContractPay Range: $28.00 per hourPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:-* Coordinate and process information received.* Assist in preparing information for filing documents.* Assist in updating and maintaining the information on earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, parent company stock basis, and audit proceedings.* Assist in preparing income tax provision calculation and review tax provision calculations.* Maintain awareness of current technical and business developments.* Research and analyze tax issues as they arise. Assist with foreign country tax issues.Responsibilities:* Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns for various entities across the firm* Analyze and submit associated personal property tax bills for payment* Review and analyze asset listings and lien date transaction data to ensure that assets are properly classified* Research, analyze and resolve general ledger account reconciliations* Ensure that all activities are completed prior to state imposed deadlines* Extract Property tax data from legacy systems utilizing ad hoc reporting tools* Analyze Property tax data from legacy systems to identify issues and trendsQualifications & Skills:* 3+ years professional experience with at least 1 year of related financial analysis / accounting experience and an understanding of Financial Reporting* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent preferred* PTMS knowledge an advantage* Exceptional communications skills (written and verbal)* Ability to complete work to deadlines with a sense of urgency* Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills required* Self-directed and motivated with attention to detail* Detail oriented and precise execution of assignments* Must be able to effectively prioritize and multi task* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel required* SAP knowledge desired* Must be flexible (capable of team work and independent) within a virtual team that encompasses different locations, countries, and time zones* Ability to learn quickly; Team player* Adhere to the highest degree of professional standardsBenefits:BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.About BCforward:Founded in 1998 on the idea that industry leaders needed a professional service, and workforce management expert, to fuel the development and execution of core business and technology strategies, BCforward is a Black-owned firm providing unique solutions supporting value capture and digital product delivery needs for organizations around the world.
