About SUSE Professional Services
In Professional Services at SUSE , we provide world-class Consulting, Training, and Premium Support services that enable our customers to successfully adopt SUSE 's portfolio of products and solutions , be that Enterprise Container Management using SUSE Rancher and Neu Vector, or Linux platforms to support business-critical applications such as SAP.
Objective s of the role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of Professional Services d elivery p rojects within the DACH region of EMEA . This can take the form of oversight across a portfolio of smaller engagements, or hands-on and in-depth management of more strategic engagements , as the market demands. You will build positive relationships with c ustomers and drive customer satisfaction , whilst aligning with all relevant members of the SUSE team including Technical Consultants and Sales teams - communicating effectively with internal and external Stakeholders at all levels .
Additionally, y ou will need to have a good understanding of industry-standard best practices for a professional services organization and will play an integral part in implementing or improving processes and contributing your expertise to shaping the future growth of the Professional Services function in SUSE .

Focus Area s Act as the main point of contact for assigned customers during Consulting engagementsLead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for SUSE Consulting projectsWork with the Consulting team and Services Management Office to secure and plan project resourcesControl project requirements, scope, and change requestsManage customer satisfaction and escalate issues in a timely mannerDetermine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risksContribute to the weekly Forecast process with timely project updatesWork with Services Engagement Managers to negotiate Professional Services ContractsAssist with the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs)Provide expertise on best practices for Project DeliveryWork with other regions and geos in sharing best practices and resources where it makes sense for the SUSE global businessWork with the Services Management Office to comply with departmental processes and to develop new practices, processes, and documentation as necessarySupport the growth and development of Services employees within assigned regionProvide cover for colleagues' absences from time to timeBe able to articulate the key values of SUSE products, solutions, and strategyComply with company processes and guidelines and adapt to the changing needs of the businessRequired Experience & SkillsNative/fluent German speakerFluent in written and spoken EnglishStrong experience in project management, ideally in a tech/IT environmentExperience in coordinating the delivery of technical projects , including management of a dynamic portfolio of engagements that are ongoing simultaneouslyExperience working in an international environment Nice to Have Experience Awareness & understanding of the Open Source software industryBackground in working with software-defined infrastructure platformsExperience in managing OS migration and/or platform migration projectsTechnical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: SUSE Rancher and/or Kubernetes-based platforms , SUSE Linux Enterprise and/or other Enterprise Linux Operating SystemsCertification or equivalent experience in managing projects using Agile methodologies Personal attributes Comfortable in a fast-paced environment in which change is constant - proven ability to be flexible and adaptiveExcellent communicator, able to interact with stakeholders at all management levelsOrganized mindset, bringing structure to your customer and colleague interactions and reliability to your regular commitments , able to maintain clear records and produce valuable reportsGreat collaborator, able to work across your own team and wider groups, and extract the best from the resources you work withThis position is subject to a background check(s), including criminal, credit, and/or employment references.
