  Position Summary...

  What you'll do...

  Join the team driving digital strategy and transformation for Walmart's Global Governance (GG) organization. The Senior Manager, Technology Operations role is an important role on the GG Digital Acceleration team that oversees technology alignment with strategic business objectives, execution of our digital solutions, provides direction on long-term technology strategy, and explores new technology opportunities to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  The Global Governance organization is a critical support function for Walmart. We serve as guides for the business, here to protect and manage risk for the company while ensuring the business has the information and knowledge to operate effectively. The Senior Manager, Technology operations role will be the vertical lead supporting technology initiatives for the Global Governance Strategy, Risk, & Operations department.

   What you'll do....

  • Manage intake of new technology initiatives from concept through implementation; conduct discovery sessions to identify customer, operational and compliance needs; translate high level requirements into features in collaboration with other stakeholders; develop and communicate business plans and priorities; writes objectives, key results, and strong success criteria to measure progress against; adjusts performance accordingly, develop contingency plans; and demonstrates adaptability, support continuous learning

  • Drive and execute projects across divisions ensuring tasks are executed to achieve project goals; monitor progress versus project plans; manage changes to project plans; prioritize, resolve, and analyze critical issues; accountable for user adoption through strong change management; involved in and may lead the change, training, and communication activities involved in launching a new technology product

  • Manage product planning roadmaps and backlog; coordinate budgeting efforts with other business units; assemble budget estimates from technology managers; assess return-on-investment or recurring need to prioritize budget requests; identify personnel needs for projects; and prepare future budget recommendations for senior leadership approval

  • Serve as an advocate for the Global Governance customer to drive accountability on commitments and delivery on desired outcomes; promote a customer-centric delivery model; and develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the business

  • Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consult with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness

  • Experience translating business needs into feature-level requirements

  • Experience collaborating with technical resources including product managers, program managers, engineers, and UI/UX designers

  • Driven towards action and execution

  • Ability to inspire and lead cross functional teams through change

  • Process-minded and actively seek out opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness

  • Proven track record building compelling business case and measuring resultant ROI

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

   Minimum Qualifications...

  Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business,information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years' experience inproject management, program management, program operations, or related area.Option 2: 7 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.2 years' supervisory experience.
