Washington Water ServiceJob Description:The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for advanced projects, and works independently with minimum supervision. The position is located in Lacey, WA.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrepares Water System PlansPrepares Project Reports and Construction DocumentsAssists in the development and/or instruction/guidance of TechniciansDevelops Improvement Project construction cost estimatesAssists in the development of the annual capital improvement program budgetsPerforms hydraulic calculations and assessments, including use of hydraulic modelsAttends meetings with clients and regulatory agenciesInstructs/guides draftspersons/technicians to reduce field notes and prepare working drawingsVisits construction sites to monitor progress according to the construction documentsEngages applicants and analyzes system growth for proposed developmentsPerforms Project Management tasks, including creating and monitoring schedules, and budgetsParticipates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement program and projectsPrepares and reviews bid specificationsManages construction or consultant work, change orders, invoices, inspection/validation, and requests for InformationDevelops and monitors the scope, schedule and budget for assigned projectsUtilizes Company financial software to accurately monitor project costs during and at the end of constructionPerforms other duties as assignedAttends meetings and training as directed by Washington Water Service and California Water Service GroupMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science in Engineering or related fieldsThree years of relevant Engineering experienceEngineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate preferredValid Washington Driver LicenseSalary Range: $78,900 - $145,900Deadline to submit resume is OPEN UNTIL FILLED.The Equal Opportunity Policy of the Company is based upon the philosophy that all people should be treated fairly and with dignity.
