　　What's the job?

　　The Project Engineer will support the Gypsum Project in Nova Scotia, a strategic project for Saint-Gobain North America, working from the prefeasibility studies and permitting, to construction and commissioning of a mine operation.

　　The Project Engineer role will have the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager position, throughout the project period, with additional carrier development opportunities, at mine operational stage, such as leadership roles within the site and/or join the mining and mineral resources central team.

　　Ensure H&S and Environmental compliance with local, national, and company standardsDevelop schedules and monitor various project tasks progressPrepares Capex authorization requests and presents to upper management for approvalLeads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, including subcontractors, adhering to budgets, timelines, and key deliverablesReviews and collaborate on reports and designs completed by other engineers and designersProvides feedback and assistance on the technical aspects of the project to managementCollaborates with global internal and external experts to assure Best Practice implementation Active in exploration and mineral claims management and permitting process; local point of contact with First Nations and local communityProvides Project Execution Plans, including Critical Path Schedules, Resource Plans, Project Risk Registers, and Budget and Variance reportsRegularly working with key project stakeholders to drive a culture of collaboration, participation, and continuous improvement

　　Required Qualifications

　　What do you bring?

　　Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mine Engineering, Geology, or related field3+ years of experience in mining operations2+ years of experience in managing exploration and mining projectsSuccessful record in H&S and Environmental mining practicesProactive and self-driven towards multiple tasksStrong technical knowledge of mine design and planningStrong communication skills
