ABOUT THE JOB:At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Project Engineer based in our Minster, Ohio fresh yogurt manufacturing facility. In this role you will be responsible for managing capital projects from start to finish for the processing, filling/packaging, utilities, and maintenance departments of the plant in multiple, simultaneous phases. Projects include (but are not limited to) new construction and modification of existing equipment /infrastructure.In this role you will effectively define the overall scope of work or design new solutions for various projects (e.g., concepts, budget, justification, and design phase via planning, risk analysis, resource identification, implementation, commissioning, closing, etc.), manage financial account for spending and project development. You will also serve as the liaison between clients (e.g., quality stakeholders) and contractors (e.g., vendors and operators), and facilitate meetings with various personnel (at all levels) for project proposals and establish strong, professional relationships with vendors/suppliers and others to ensure that projects are proceeding according to schedule.Danone North America additionally offers competitive salary and a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options.ABOUT YOU:You have a bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or chemical) or other relevant science, required. A Project Management certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.You have 2 - 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred) and at least 5 years of experience with engineering systems design (preferred). Experience within a food or dairy processing environment is preferred.You are mechanically and technically inclined.You are proficient in the use of computer programs such as MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD, preferred.You have experience with project management process, total quality management (TQM), and six sigma / continuous improvement, required. TPM experience is preferred.You have knowledge of integrated automation and control technology and highspeed packaging systems designYou have experience developing plans within regulatory compliance (e.g. OSHA, FDA)You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are proactive and professional and able to take direction effectively.You have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.You have established project management skills and knowledge of the project management process, tools and tasks associated with preparation and execution of capital projects, financial and analytical skills, and are able to lead multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities.You have the ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.You have the leadership, interpersonal communication and self-management skills required to interact and work collaboratively with all levels of plant personnel and are comfortable working with minimal supervision.ABOUT US:At Danone North America, you'll work with some of the best-known food and beverage brands in the world like Activia, Silk, Horizon Organic, Two Good, Oikos, evian, and Happy Family.
