  Aerotek is currently looking for material handlers on both 2nd and 3rd shift. These materials handles will either start in the sheet metal bay or the bar bay depending on what the current needs are. Candidates must be flexible to training in different areas to learn multiple positions.

  2nd shift: 3p-11:30p Monday-Friday (busiest shift right now, must be prepared to work 52-55 hours weekly, all OT will be after the shift end time)

  3rd shift: 11p-7:30am Sunday-Thursday (must be prepared to work about 45-50 hours right now, all OT will be after the shift)

  Will start off doing about 2-3 weeks of classroom, less hands on training (safety, core values, basic certs, etc.) and then 3-4 weeks of more hands on training (forklift certs, learning procedural duties, etc.). More likely than not they will start by getting certified on forklifts and overhead crane (prior certs will not matter as they will be recertified on everything).

  Once in the role itself, they will be doing mostly order selecting using the high reach/side loader forklift as well as the sit down forklift to sort and band material once picked and the overhead crane when needed. This is NOT a solely forklift role; candidates will be doing some order selecting, maneuvering of material, loading trucks, banding various metals, lifting up to 55lbs on their own (team lift or forklift for anything more than that). Anything they do not already know how to do, they can be taught.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  Having exact experience is not a make or break for a candidate. A candidate with a proven attendance record and willingness to learn and want to be part of the company for the long term is a candidate they would be interested in as every candidate they make an offer to through us is a candidate they want to be part of their team for the long term..
