NY1485044Project Coordinator- Livable Communities of Oneida County.Full time, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm for 50 Forward Mohawk Valley in Utica, NY.50 Forward Mohawk Valley is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide programs and services to individuals 50+, empowering them to live healthy and vibrant lives. 50 Forward MV is the sponsor agency for the Oneida County AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Volunteer Resource Center of Oneida County, Way 2 Go Herkimer and Oneida County and the lead non-profit in the Livable Communities Oneida County initiative.The Livable Communities of Oneida County is a project that is a culmination of over 6 years work and planning to gather demographics and as much input from the Oneida County residents of all ages as possible. The goal was and remains to create or in some cases enhance age-friendly characteristics of Oneida County with the product an evolving and improving Livable Community for all ages.The Project Coordinator will be committed to assisting in achieving the following results:* Coordinate meetings of the Steering Committee and Work Groups.* Manage community assessments.* Assist with the collection and analysis of data.* Perform community outreach and presentations.* Ensure relevant community projects are aligned with Age Friendly concepts.* Perform networking to ensure relevant projects are tracked for the Age Friendly initiative.* Engage older adults to work closely with the project. * Assist with implementing the Age Friendly Community Action Plan. * Engage government entities to achieve project goals.* Perform project evaluations.* Attend trainings and meetings that are relevant to the project.* Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or the Executive Director.Qualifications:* Associates Degree preferred.* Computer and Technical skills.* Excellent communication skills.* Highly motivated.* Local travel required.* Valid NYS Driver's License & own vehicle required.Salary: $33,000/year.
