We are recruiting for a Project Controls Analyst who will under limitedreview, provide a broad range of project and program duties to integrateprocesses, track, analyze, and report data concerning projectmanagement, project controls, budget formulation and execution, andfinancial management duties. Project Controls Analysts maintain financialdata, support task and project managers, generate schedules, and providechecks and balances throughout the life of the project.
This position is required to travel 10% of the time.
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:-Support monthly cost reporting processes including preparation of costaccruals.-Maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).-Create and update P6 schedules with earned value status.-Calculate and maintain cost forecasts in P6.-Monitoring commitments, incurred, and actual costs.-Performing cost variance and schedule variance analysis.-Preform earned value management reporting.-Support estimate and budget development including IDIQ proposals and annualbudget submittals.-Perform ad-hoc project analysis and support.-Maintain resource loaded baseline and working schedules in Primaveral P6.-Develop and prepare Task Order Change (TOC) Proposals.-Assists the Project Manager with the administration of annual andlife-cycle configuration control procedures and process inaccordance with client requirements.-Participates in meetings, conference calls, conferences, and similarforums, is available to respond to informal requests for information, andprovides miscellaneous special project assistance.-Other duties as assigned.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:-Ability to create, analyze, and interpret P6 schedules, budget, costand variance information.-Background knowledge of financial analysis, Excel formulas, pivottables, data manipulation and reporting.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiencyrequired:-1 - 2 years of experience of Primavera P6.-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.-Knowledge of EVMS requirements including reporting and other financial tools.-Experience with Adhoc reporting.-Cost processors experience.-Knowledge of financial budgeting and reporting requirements, scopedecomposition, and development of logic driven, integrated, resourceloaded schedules.-Valid driver's license.
Required Education and Years of Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, ora related field and at least 3 years of experience of relevant experience.
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:-DOE/DOD EVMS Implementation-Government Contract/Funding specifically project controls for Firm FixedPrice contracts experience.-COBRA experience.-PMP or PMCP certificate.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:The employee must remain is a stationary position 50% of the time. Thisposition needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filecabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and otheroffice productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, andcomputer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates withothers who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information inthese situations. Constantly works inside an office environment. Frequentlymoves documents and objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to observeand learn technical material and emails.
