WHO WE NEED
The Programmer Analyst I performs technical, analytical, support, andleadership functions to help the division and the company meet itsgoals. Responsible for programming business solutions based onrequirements for all business areas within Cambia Health Solutions.
Preferred Key Experience:
Familiarity with data movement between systems.Proficient at SQL.Strong communication skills and prior experience with writingbusiness requirements, use cases and business proposals.Experience with Business Systems Analysis and User AcceptanceTesting methodology.Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed below
The Programmer Analyst I would have:
Bachelor\'s degree in Mathematics, Operational TechnologyManagement, Computer Science, Operations Research or an equivalentrelated field5+ years job-related work experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and related workexperience.YOUR ROLE:
Develops knowledge of health plan operations, health plan datasources and structures, and cost containment strategies; includinghow these subjects relate to the company\'s products and competitivemarket position.Identifies needed reporting, assembles or directs the assembly ofreports, and distributes such information to the people who need it.Designs, develops or directs the development of, and directs theperformance of acceptance testing of new reports, programs, andmodels.Proactively identifies issues and concerns to management.Applies knowledge of how various departments within the corporationwork together to make the company run effectively.Communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding,and changes.Interprets business requirements and develops design specifications.Writes code or configuration to implement business requirementsusing approved technologies.Develops tests to validate correct implementation of the businessrequirements.Acquire knowledge of Cambia data systems to meet the analytical andreporting needs of the division and the corporation.Actively participates in the division\'s peer review processes.Responsible for corporate profitability by prudent management ofrisk.WHAT YOU BRING:
Keen analytical and problem solving skills.Solid oral and written communication skills, including presentationand technical writing skills.Familiarity with relational databases and client-server concepts.Demonstrated computer skills using ETL, SQL coding and report tools.Proven ability to perform difficult analytical tasks with minimumsupervision.Must be able to develop efficient and effective program and systemsolutions in solving business problems.Ability to review, analyze, and enhance configuration/programmingsystems including coding, testing, and debugging.Ability to consult with application\'s users to identify currentoperating procedures and to clarify program objectives.Must be able to effectively adapt to changing technologies andmethodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needs.Ability to negotiate common solutions with acceptable compromisesfor business users with conflicting Business Intelligence needs.Understanding of business process improvement, benefit and riskmanagement and software testing, and of all testing eventsthroughout the development lifecycleA wide degree of creativity is required.Knowledge o healthcare and healthcare business processes a plus.The expected target hiring range for this position is \$77k - \$111.5kdepending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevantlicensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. Thebonus target for this position is 10%. The current full salary range fora Programmer Analyst I is \$77k Low Range / \$97k MRP/ 127k High Range.
