To accomplish this wepartner with schools, workplaces, and volunteers all over EasternMassachusetts to bring our program and services closest to youth whoneed them. As a Program Services Coordinator you will play a unique andessential role in the healthy development of the Big and Little matchrelationship. You will be the first person in the agency to see theimpact of our programs. Through phone calls, emails, and othercommunications you will provide on-going match support to increase thequality and duration of matches and be on the lookout for any safetyissues for volunteers, children and their families. Staff will berequired to travel to sites where our programs are hosted throughoutBoston so preference will be given to local candidates. Additionalpreference will be given to candidates with the capacity to speakSpanish. Key Responsibilities - Frequently contact volunteers, parents,and youth via phone, email, in-person visits, and/or match events anddocument all contacts to increase the quality and duration of the matchrelationship and identify any child safety issues. - During each matchcontact, gather the appropriate information to make an assessment of thecurrent state of the match and its needs. Together with each matchparty, you will create an action plan to ensure that the relationshipcan steadily develop and grow and all parties have a positiveexperience - Actively encourage empathy, communication, andcollaboration across match parties of different backgrounds -Collaborate closely with other staff - in program services and otherdepartments - to enable the most volunteers and children to besuccessfully matched - Share information with matches about activities,events and opportunities available through the agency - As needed, refervolunteers, youth, and parents to other services - Help plan, organizeand attend agency-sponsored match activities for Bigs and Littles - Whena match requires closing, conduct thorough discussions with a volunteer,youth and guardian and perform accurate and timely write-up of matchclosure forms - Participate in different site-wide initiatives to driveengagement in topics of diversity, equity and inclusion - Be a part of atrue team - together with your peers work on projects and events thatwill drive enhancements and improvements Basic Qualifications -Bachelor\'s degree with one or more years of work experience, preferablyin youth development, volunteer or program management, and/oreducation - Availability to work full-time. Hours may include eveningsand weekends - Willingness and ability to travel to sites where ourprograms are hosted throughout Boston as needed - Access to reliableinternet and phone connections to perform work remotely - Familiaritywith Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
