Description We are offering an opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public role, located in Walnut Creek, California. The job function involves working in the industry of public accounting, where you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, assisting with tax research, and preparing trial balance workpapers. This role also involves working on various projects associated with tax and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and entity income tax returns in a timely and accurate manner

• Assist in conducting tax technical and accounting research to ensure compliance with the latest tax laws

• Prepare trial balance workpapers and adjusting entries for tax preparation, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Take on various assigned projects associated with tax and accounting, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

• Utilize various tax and accounting software to streamline and automate processes

• Conduct routine audits and accounting functions to ensure financial statements are accurate

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and strong communication skills when dealing with clients

• Exhibit self-motivation and a drive to succeed and advance within the public accounting field

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and entity formation procedures

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSystem Fx effectively. Requirements • Holds at least 1 year of experience in a relevant field

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSystem Fx

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience with Auditing

• Understanding of Compliance procedures

• Knowledge of Entity Formation processes

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements

• Experience in Tax Preparation

• Familiarity with Audit processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess a degree in Accounting or a related field

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
