Reporting to the Senior Program Officer for Community Partnerships , the Program Officer will work with a team to ensure new resettlement partners have the tools and resources needed to resettle refugees throughout the U.S. This position requires knowledge of the Reception and Placement (R&P) program, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong data management. This position can be remote with occasional trips to Baltimore as needed.

DUTIES
Manage the training and onboarding of LIR's network of R&P affiliates and local R&P staff to resettle refugees.
Provide informational sessions for organizations and groups interested in joining the LIRS network as a resettlement partner.
Create, update, and disseminate informational and onboarding materials for new partners.
Complete monitoring and evaluation activities for new partners to ensure ongoing compliance with program requirements and quality service provision for refugees assigned to it
Work collaboratively with the Resettlement and Integration (RIS) teams to ensure new resettlement partners are well supported across all RIS programs.
Coordinate LIRS's training events including but not limited to LIRS's annual conference, and in-person training. and other in-person convenings with affiliate partners.
Collect necessary data and information for the timely completion of federal reports, with input from other colleagues.
Manage relationships with new sites through coordination of regular check-ins, training, and technical assistance , as needed.
Work collaboratively across units to fulfill R&P program compliance requirements.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with the Department of State's Reception and Placement Program, is strongly preferred.
Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or limited English speakers, is preferred.
Demonstrated experience providing creating and disseminating training to stakeholders.
Ability to write and edit external-facing materials.
Ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues and partners.
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge of database management, and other computer applications. This position will require using several web-based platforms.
Deep commitment to LIRS' core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.
Ability and willingness to travel less than 5% of the time
