JOB SUMMARY
Textron's Leadership Development Program (LDP) provides early career professionals a mix of challenging work experiences with multi-industry movement, mentoring, access to leaders and training. Over the course of two years, our participants build valuable skills and networks at multiple Textron businesses. Our goal is to accelerate our participant’s professional development to create high-quality talent to fill key roles in the organization.
We’re looking for a Program Manager to oversee the delivery of 1-2 functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Health & Safety, and/or Human Resources) of the Leadership Development Program. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative team member who has experience partnering with managers and leaders at all levels, and a proven track record of driving positive change. This role reports directly to the Mgr, Leadership Development Program.
The LDP Program Manager Will :
Partner with functional leadership and Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on recruiting strategy and support of recruiting efforts – this can include partnership in the creation of recruiting materials, engagement with Textron interns to drive improvements in intern to full-time conversion, LDP candidate management through Textron’s applicant management system and participation in on-campus recruiting activities.
Collaborate with functional leadership and business unit HR to support LDP workforce planning and rotational placement for incoming and current participants, and repatriation placement for graduating participants.
Partner with business unit management on LDP assignments, participant performance and training & development needs and provide support for employee relation issues, escalating to appropriate parties as necessary.
Mentor and coach LDP participants
Create and deliver regular program updates to business and functional leadership on current and future state.
Plan and execute on LDP function-specific curricula and related LDP face to face meetings (orientation, functional trainings, program completion)
Continuous improvement of standard processes for LDP, leadership in special projects and backup support of other LDP functions, as needed.
Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
Previous experience in Recruiting/University Relations, HR Business Partnering or other relevant experience preferred.
Strong influencing and consulting skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Possess strong planning skills and be adept at dealing with ambiguity; effectively identify and resolve complex problems.
Comfort with higher management
Ability to successfully manage competing priorities.
Team player, willing to step in to support team wherever needed.
