Summary About the Position: As a Program Manager you are responsible for managing efficiently and actively the planning, scope development, analysis, design, documentation, and review of projects under the major Civil Works and Support for Others (SFO) programs. Providing expert project management for various reservoir project operations and studies, such as: flood plains, river control structures, flood walls, bridges, dams environmental restoration, recreation features and levees. Responsibilities Establishes project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, dependencies, and responsibilities of the participating parties. Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration for major Civil Works and Support for Others projects. Manages and controls project schedule milestones and budgets planning through construction and initial operations. Reviews project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost. Specialized Experience for the GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes performing work as a Program Manager responsible for oversight and technical work supporting Civil Works programs and operations, which include: 1) Planning projects for major river systems containing large, multi-purpose projects, such as Hydropower generation, navigation projects, large flood control projects, and environmental mitigation and restoration projects. 2) Control project schedule milestones, and 3) Budget planning.
