Schedule: Mon-Fri, with 2 late nights per week until 7:30pm or 8pm. 2optional remote days per month.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required, ideally with a major in education, socialwork, business or related field.
At least 21 years of age.
Keen understanding of, and passion for, the importance of post-highschool education and workforce development opportunities, particularlyfor Mercy Homes young adult population.
Comfortable with record keeping, numbers and performing simplestatistical analysis.
A valid Illinois drivers license, ability to drive a van, maintain aclear driving record, and retain driving approval through the Departmentof Children and Family Services.
Ability to attend required Agency trainings and maintain necessarytraining compliance. Flexibility to attend daytime trainings or sessionsoutside of regularly scheduled hours.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Commitment to the mission, values, and goals of the Agency.
Willingness and ability to work evenings as needed when young adults arein program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assess and implement Mercy Model programming with assigned youth andyoung adults. Including, but not limited to: Strengths Discovery, goalsetting, problem solving, in-vivo mentoring and skills coaching.
Coordinate with treatment team to identify roles in youths futureplanning, and include any other necessary key players (family, mentors,etc.) to support youth in vocational and educational planning while atMercy Home and once they leave the agency.
Develop, implement, manage and monitor all operational, administrativeand programmatic processes and activities related to post-secondaryeducation and vocational planning for youth and young adults in assignedprogram(s).
Be responsible for the career and post-high school educationalassessment of young adults and the case plan related to their individualneeds for career and post-secondary planning, exploring these realms inthe community as needed.
