Position Summary
The Program Coordinator supports the delivery of instruction and student success by assisting with student support and administrative processes for the ESL and ELI programs as providing general support and services for students and faculty of the Arts & Humanities (A&H), Academic Affairs Division.
This position reports to the Arts & Humanities Division Operations Director and collaborates closely with faculty and staff including Program Manager(s), Navigator(s), Program Chair(s), and Associate Dean. This position also collaborates closely with division staff with similar duties and other College staff and departments.
This program is partially grant funded and will support Basic and Transitional Studies & ELI (English Language Institute) programs and while also supporting the division reception desk and students for the division as a whole.
Work hours for this position are generally during the college business hours, Monday through Friday, but flexibility will be required for intake and assessment sessions, registration sessions and working with staff and faculty during evening sessions.
The Program Coordinator provides support to students, faculty, and staff in the above-mentioned programs by performing the following duties:
• Supporting student intake and progression through the ESL and ELI programs as well assisting students for all programs through processes and forms such as: BC application, Program intake form, registration, etc.
• Inputting data for use in College, local, state, federal reporting, and program development and decision making.
• Supporting aspects of the student intake process including assisting students with intake paperwork, and related data entry and reporting as needed.
• Attending program related events and meetings.
• Serve in divisional reception areas to respond to inquiries in person and answer phone calls and email from students, staff, faculty, campus members and the public.
• Assisting with program website maintenance and other outreach and marketing.
• Managing and supporting initiatives from SBCTC and the College.
This is a temporary project position and expected to end on 06/30/2024. Extension of the position pending on funding availability.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Position Salary Range: $42,540/year - $56,664/year
The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month. The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This is a Classified, overtime eligible position and represented by the Washington Public Employee Association of Higher Education (WPEA-HE).
