As the Program Coordinator for Camp Knutson, you will support day to day program operations through program development and implementation, staff recruitment, vision and marketing, special projects and volunteer coordination. LSS Camp Knutson is an adaptive and inclusive summer camp for youth and adults with developmental, medical and other identified needs. During the summer months, this position approximately serves 1300 campers. Camp Knutson is a year-round operation, serving 1500 retreat guests September - May. Other Program Coordinator Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and ensure implementation of camp programs. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and providing work direction and mentoring to camp workers to ensure quality of service at Camp Knutson. Contribute to the growth of Camp Knutson's mission, and brand recognition, through marketing, fundraisers, and special projects. Assist with the management of the volunteer online platform, monitor volunteer schedules and meet with incoming volunteers. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all camp participants, staff, retreat guests, and visitors. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Minimum of three years relevant camping or disability work experience. Experience in a supervisory capacity strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with different types of individuals and to effectively build relationships. Team building skills, leadership skills, and ability to address challenging behaviors are essential. Database entry skills and platform experience preferred. Preferred experience in lifeguarding. Bureau of criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance is required, Motor vehicle check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
