The Professional Development Program (PDP) is a rotational development program geared toward ensuring employees in the early stages of their career gain an understanding of the various functional areas and business units with ONEOK as well as building leadership bench strength for our future.
Within the PDP program, you will have the opportunity to gain professional experience in entry-level positions in three to five areas of the company by rotating through a series of jobs. We ask that you commit to a minimum of three years in the program with each rotation lasting approximately one year. Based on your individual track, PDPs have the opportunity to gain experience in areas such as Accounting, Audit, Business Development, Commercial Transportation and Logistics in Crude Oil or Refined Products, Corporate Compliance, Financial Planning, and Operations.
Job Profile Summary
These positions serve in various capacities within multiple MMP departments during this 3 to 5-year rotational program with each rotation consisting of a 1-yr assignment within a department. Project work and multiple substantive assignments are designed to provide industry-specific business experiences with a focus on the organization as a whole. Peers, supervisors and functional management provide mentoring to develop technical, professional decision-making, managerial and analytical skill sets, while fulfilling specific business needs within the assigned departments. Incumbents are exposed to best practices, processes and systems within MMP that are designed to strengthen critical competencies. In addition, incumbents are required to lead a community relations project or initiative. Incumbents will be required to develop and make a presentation to Senior Management following each rotational period illustrating experience within their current rotation.
Limited use and/or application of basic theories/principles/concepts/techniques as obtained by higher education or equivalent experience. Developing knowledge of company policies/practices. Provides resolutions to problems of limited scope following standard practices and procedures by analyzing data from which answers to problems can be readily obtained. Overall work is closely managed and reviewed. Tasks/duties are usually assignment-related and detailed work assignments are typically provided by management. Failure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization, goals, schedules or objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management.
• Coordinates, he Partnership's internal control work related to Sarbanes-Oxley and works closely with Accounting Management and the Partnership's external auditors and consultants ensuring federal compliance.
• Identifies and evaluates internal controls related to the Partnership and ensures that controls are adequately documented and working as intended (SIP, Pipeline and Facility Operations & Systems, Construction and Contractors reviews).
• Provides assistance in the overall risk assessment of the Partnership and in develops subsequent gap analysis.
• Assists with other projects and assignments as directed

PDP Accountant Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management.
• Performs a variety of basic accounting assignments related to Derivatives and Pipeline, Crude Revenue Accounting and Financial Reporting.
• Compiles, analyzes and interprets information for management decision-making. Performs basic tasks and projects of lesser complexity. Relies on established guidelines and/or detailed direction.
• Bills additive services according to contracts, maintaining rates and contracts in the applicable system and reconciles additive inventory. Investigates variances for the Derivatives and Pipeline or Crude Revenue Accounting and System Services Accounting
• Contacts customers regarding past due A/R invoices
• Records and upload internal labor to capital AFE projects.
• Assists in preparing reports i.e. Capital Budget Report, Payout AFE, Report, OTS Spending Report, a retirements report, and AFE Summary Report.
• Assists with financial reporting and 10-k filing process
• Provides research and responds to ad hoc requests
• Prepared files to upload as needed.

PDP Business Dev Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management
• Performs duties as a "Business Area Analyst" working under Business Area Managers. Analyzes business levels including revenue and volume trends as well as asset utilization such as tank turns and rack volumes. Evaluates and manages smaller business development projects and participates in the Project Life Cycle. The position will rotate through two-three geographic areas. May work directly with MMP customers and suppliers.
• Identifies commercial development projects/activities within an assigned geographic region of the MPL system, and participates in the Project Life Cycle.
• Performs financial analysis and economic modeling of potential commercial development projects and/or acquisitions, divestitures and asset swaps within an assigned geographic region.
• Assists with the commercial negotiations on legal documents.
• Monitors business performance of certain MPL assets within an assigned geographic region, looking for market trends, business shifts, potential commercial opportunities and service-level improvements.
• Completes special assignments and projects as directed.

• Gains compentencies and an understanding of the System Integrity Plan, Delegation of Authority and FERC Compliance Program
• Reviews and evaluates processes related to the FERC Compliance Program
• Creates/implements new training modules for FERC Compliance training
• Evaluates recent FERC Compliance audit reports issued and provides comments/summaries of those reports for consideration for implementation into MMP’s FERC Compliance program
• Through mentors, receives insight into the overall global compliance functions of MMP and the process for updating compliance programs of MMP
• Through mentors, is exposed to MMP tariffs as well as the processes of preparing/filing tariffs

PDP Engineering Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management
• Creates project plans for business development opportunities
• Creates documentation for major construction projects including RFS agreements, bid waivers, director waivers, cash flow and buy out reimbursement reports
• Actively participates in all aspects of the project life cycle for project managers in Engineering

PDP Financial Plng Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management
• Performs financial forecasting, planning and reporting on the financial performance of MMP assets.
• Uses existing financial modeling processes to analyze revenue projections and determine revenue drivers for the creation of monthly forecasts and reviews of financial performance.
• Creates/analyzes revenues and expenses variances related to plan versus actuals
• Assists with quarterly Board meeting presentations.
• Gathers data from various departments and functional areas for consolidation into the annual plan.

PDP IT Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management
• Performs a variety of IT-related assignments and projects
• Compiles, analyzes and interprets information to provide management for decision-making
• May assist with contract work where communication between internal customers and external vendors as required
• Coordinates with users, vendors and/or technical specialists to determine requirements and ensure application systems meet user and business needs

PDP Measurement Systems & Processes Rotation
The PDP works independently with direction provided by senior level professionals and management
• Establishes a working relationship with the internal departments that interface with the Measurement & Process team
• Gains competencies in all operations system applications
• Prepares monthly reports on assets to be reviewed for location management decision making
• Coordinates process improvement analysis on various projects throughout the rotation
• Participates in due diligence site visits as assigned
• Reviews procedures for the System Integrity Program (SIP) and training reference guides on an annual basis
Education

Bachelor's Degree business-related major and a minimum of a 3.25 GPA required
