JOB REQUIREMENTS: Gundersen Health System is looking for an experiencedindividual to help our Professional Coding and Reimbursement Teamcontinue to succeed and advance! The Supervisor works under thedirection of the Director to effectively accomplish the duties andresponsibilities outlined in Gundersen Health System\'s Supervisor JobCharter. Supervises the daily operations of the professional servicescoding and charge capture/review staff. Recruits, trains, and developscoding specialists to achieve and sustain compliance with all CMS, AMA,AHA, CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding and billing guidelines. Competently usesregulatory and payer policies as well as published coveragedeterminations to research and address coding questions specific toclinical specialties/sub-specialties and services. Analyzes daily workflow through coding work queues and management reports to maximizeefficiency and achieve DNFB (discharged not final billed) targets. TheSupervisor leads process improvement projects, participates in theevaluation and introduction of new technology, contributes to ICD-10transition planning and training. Implements a multi-dimensional qualitycontrol and productivity measurement program documenting actions takenand results achieved. Monitors work flow and addresses any delays incoding completion. Prepares reports for leadership including quality,productivity, efficiency and financial goals being met by codingoperations. Partners with leaders of the Revenue Cycle to prepare theorganization for health care reform and changing reimbursement. Positionqualifications Education and Learning: Required: Associate degree inBusiness or a health related field Evidence of completion of ICD-10,CPT, and HCPCS training.
