Issuing a monthly report of waste inventory and packaging activities to management. Providing volume and cost estimates for the decommissioning funding plan.Waste Handling - Creating "Waste Management Plans" for non-standard waste streams as they are encountered; Creating and maintaining process qualifications (establish uranium limits) for each waste stream packaged.Supporting uranium recovery processes.Your OpportunityThis full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. As a Production Support Waste Engineer in Richland, WA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:Waste handling, waste container inspection and shipping, uranium scrap recovery, and nuclear ash processingMaintaining qualifications and certifications for all waste related activities, identifying root cause of production support issues and implement corrective actionsLearn and utilizing certain key software packages - SAP, NIMS, Waste database, ensuring compliance with government, organization and customer standards, provides support and instructions to Plant Support and Waste technicians, working on special projects, as directed, and performing other related duties and tasks, as required.This position requires occasional travel.
