The Panel Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our panel shop, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of tasks, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of panel shop associates. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate activities to meet production goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise a team of panel shop technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management.Ensures shift meets daily objectives in terms of safety, on-time delivery of job orders, accurate employee documentation of work completed, quality, and physical inventory.Conduct performance evaluations and is responsible for discipline of departmental associates.Ensures that all department employees have necessary materials, parts, and tools to work.Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.Monitor the use of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the team.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are well-maintained and functioning properly.Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and maintenance, to resolve issues and improve processes.Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality control standards in the panel shop.Troubleshoot technical problems and provide guidance to technicians as needed.Report to management on the status of projects, resource utilization, and any issues that may affect production.Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Operation Team Leads and the employees in the work cells and carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's procedures. Responsibilities include training the employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; addressing complaints and resolving problems, involved in the hiring process for department, and communication with off shift supervisors.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *
Proven experience as a panel shop supervisor or a similar leadership role.Strong technical knowledge related to panel shop operations and equipment.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Problem-solving and decision-making skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe work environment.Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent direct education from two-year college or technical school preferred. 3 years related experience and/or training in department assigned. Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances. Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
