Production Supervisor2nd ShiftYour role:As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day operations forpacking, warehouse and loadingdepartmentensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety.To succeed, youmustbe able to:Deliver results in first-time situations by inspiring others and working to earn trust every dayServe others with understanding, respect, and careOperate with simplicity, clarity and transparencyDeal with and drive changeOrganize, prioritize and own multiple tasks whilemeeting or exceeding deadlinesLearn and apply new technology,andshareyourknowledge with othersAbove all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient mannerYour responsibilities:Oversees and executes day-to-day operations for department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safetyPartners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and proceduresMonitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations forcontinuousimprovementsParticipate and lead process improvement initiatives includingCenterlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)Partners with local plantmanagement to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.)Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employeesTake counts, correct discrepancies, and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory count outside of variance range in the digital Vs physical countResponsible forworkforce engagement, recognition as well asdevelopment and coachingto hourlymembersEssential skills and experience:Bachelor's degreeor High school diploma/GEDequivalentwith4years ofproductionexperienceMinimum of1years' experience having leadership responsibilities inan industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)Demonstratedunderstanding of safetyhazards andprotocolsUnderstanding ofcomputerized maintenance management systemsGood to have:Knowledgeof maintaining, operating, and troubleshootingpackaging equipmentand conveying systemsTraining in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processesReliabilitycentered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practicesPhysical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasksAbility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protectionand, at times, a respiratoror a harness)Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to work a machine-paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:Hot/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)Indoor/Outdoor environmentDusty environment(to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)Noisy environmentFrequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processesElevated PlacesAbility to perform work safely which may require:Frequently s
