IEG Hospitality Services, located at 956 Commerce Loop, Gulf Shores, AL 34542, is hiring 30 cooks to work full-time starting April 1, 2024,through to October 1, 2024. The worksite is located at: 295 E 2nd Avenue, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
Duties include:Prepare foods as per the menu.Inspect and clean food preparation areas.Ensure freshness of food and ingredients.Portion, arrange, garnish, and serve food to waiters.Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables.
Employer offers a full-time 35-hour work week and employees are paid biweekly. Wages: $14.26 an hour. Will work seven hours per day, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:00PM. Overtime is not applicable. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions required by law will be deducted from the worker's biweekly paycheck. The anticipated period of employment will last 150 days or more.
The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Employer will reimburse any H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation for H-2B visa workers and non-commuting U.S. domestic workers (citizens and holders of visas that allow work in the U.S.), including meals and lodging to the extent necessary, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period.
Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed from to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment.
The amount for daily subsistence will be at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
Daily transportation to and from the worksite(s) will be provided to the workers from a centralized designated pick-up location. The employer will charge workers $10.00 per week per round trip (optional).
