WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Directly lead production employees in assigned Value Stream, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance. Look after day-to-day production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made. Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily. Partner with human resources on employee relations to ensure accurate procedures and practices are followed. Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs. Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
