Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. The AppleCare Business Operations team is looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate for the position of Worldwide Demand Planner. This role is an opportunity for a motivated individual to apply their eye for business, influencing skills, project management skills, and analytical skills to deliver timely and relevant demand forecasts. The worldwide demand planner will be responsible for the demand forecasting and planning for a part of the AppleCare business. You are comfortable in working with cross-functional teams and in using analytics to improve forecasting methods. You will be required to analyze large amounts of data, identify significant trends, and adjust to meet an ever-evolving demand landscape. The ideal candidate should also be able to effectively communicate data analysis and forecast impacts to a broad audience of AppleCare internal customers. The candidate should also be a creative problem solver, who is passionate about building, maintaining, and driving innovative solutions to deliver outstanding customer service.
Key Qualifications
7+ years of experience in forecasting or planning
Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets and conducting ad hoc analysis
Adept at merging data from a variety of sources in order to generate conclusions through analysis
Skills for blending quantitative and qualitative data
Experience in executive level reporting
Service Operations experience a plus
Proven ability to track and manage ongoing activities within a project
Comfortable with ambiguity
Proven process improvement skills with a natural curiosity and desire to understand how things work
Excellent English communication skills - both verbal & written
Experience in leading or working in cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion
Independent self-starter who can prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Excel skills, including the use of macros a plus
SAP APO experience a plus
Knowledge of SQL or Tableau a plus
Description
Become the go-to specialist for demand related activities for one or more LOBs supporting the AppleCare business Utilize analytical skills and available tools to collect, organize, and analyze data to support forecasting efforts Develop, maintain and improve data-driven demand models to provide accurate forecasts in an ever-changing business environment Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for any unexpected demand changes Contribute to the improvement of AppleCare demand forecasting by developing tools that improve the speed and accuracy of service forecasts Effectively and promptly communicate changes to model inputs and outputs that have significant relevance to business operations Work with cross-functional team members in Engineering, Procurement, Channels, Readiness, Capacity Planning, and Supply Planning to implement the most efficient supply chain solutions for AppleCare Play a leadership role in the standardization of deliverables; ensure adherence to commitments
Education & Experience
BS degree, 5 years in a service, manufacturing or logistics operation or equivalent experience. MS/MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,500.00 and $205,800.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
